lyrics
I made it out of the maze
cleared the smoke and the mirrors away
All that remains is the honest truth
but it's the same mistake
I made last week
I fell back in that trap
Every breath I breathe
barely makes it past my teeth
'cause these same vises occupy my mind
I opened up the cage to find
that the beast locked inside
didn't want to be saved
Panic makes all my decisions for me
No rational thought just a swift jerk of the knee
I am alive
Despite the pain and strife
My salvation lies in every note
Sent from my heart straight to my throat
I bleed for my anger
I hold onto my youth
till my hands shake from this white knuckle grip
But I've got a gold medal in failure
I climb up to the highest block
I felt the cold down my spine from their empty accolades
My passion becomes comatose
But like these notes these problem won't
resolve themselves
Panic makes all my decisions for me
No rational thought just a swift jerk of the knee
My body is sick of this thinking
My Body is sick of the drinking
Everybody knows what I'm thinking
Everybody but me
My body is sick of this thinking
My Body is sick of the drinking
Everybody knows what I'm thinking
Everybody but me
and my mind weak from this sickness
Head to toe engulfed in the weakness
At least I know that I still have feeling

I love this whole album, But the real thing that pulls me into this album is the last song: My Soul To Keep. One line that deep down resonants with me is "i tell myself that i'm worth more than this.
sayin "if i were to leave this world, i'd truly be missed"
"think of all the people you've made smile.
just know that in their hearts
that you were worth their while" its the kind of thing that goes through a persons head when they're down and the daily motivation to keep going. 10/10 deletedviper
Across their second full-length, the London post-punks offer up thrumming motoriks, industrial tones, and sullen sing-a-longs in abundance. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 17, 2024
